ACNE: Short answer. Yes, snail mucin does have a strong antimicrobial effect as shown in the investigation of Pitt et.al (2015) but this research only shows that the it is effective against multiple strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa- and negligible effects against Staphylococcus aureus. P. Aeruginosa is not the bacteria responsible for Acne. What’s more? Neither is Staph Aureus.
HYPERPIGMENTATION: Research supporting said there was in vitro investigation that snail mucin displayed anti-melanogenic effect (inhibits the formation of melanin. However, there was no reports of clinical study or testing on subjects to further support this claim.
WRINKLES AND PHOTOAGING: A clinical study in 2013 over 12 weeks showed that the topical application of snail mucin enhanced skin texture within 8 weeks of treatment.
My experience: This did not improve my acne or hyperpigmentation in any remarkable way and this is my second repurchase. It makes a wonderful hydrator paired with a soothing toner

This is just Great! It is soothing and the best thing to run to when you're struggling with an impaired barrier. This and the etude house soon jung 5.5 toner together is just one of the best hydrating combo!

Hands down to this product. This is superb. It is a bit thick but upon application it just glides and absorbs in the skin without feeling sticky. No fragrance at all which I like and making my skin better after just couple of weeks.
