The smell is like something like an oil/ointment that is used by the elderlies. Its an okay smell, but im not not a fan of it. You just have to get used to it. Its nice that its easy to open. It comes with a spatula too

I just started using balm cleansers recently, and this was one of the first few ones I tried. The balm itself only starts to melt when you start massaging it onto your face, it emulsifies well, and isn't difficult to wash. I really love that they repackaged it for convenience, the flip top (I have no idea what you call it?).
