This depends on each person but I have eczema so this might be the major reason why, but when I put this on my face when I got a sunburn, the area actually got worse. I thought that it was probably not a good combination with sunburn. So, I tried again without a sunburn but I still got a horrible irritation.  

moisturizing and soothing. can be a little sticky. I use it on my face and hands. good for facial acne and dry cracked hands. 

It's moisturizing and easy to absorb.
