I was very excited to try, however I haven't even opened the bottle yet and it has a very overpowering smell, like off fruit that made my whole package smell funny?

I have used this for years and highly recommend it! I apply it either after after washing your face or after toner. Using the palm of my hands and press into the skin lightly.
