I'm not sure what's up with the scent of my sunstick but it's gross when uncapping, after airing out for 20 seconds there is a fresh cotton/laundry scent that's fine.
I really like this sunstick both under and over makeup. Under makeup it has a mattifying almost pore filling effect and helps my base go on smoothly. It does affect how my makeup sets - takes longer for everything to melt together, but nothing that upsets my routine. When using it over makeup it smudges a bit, but doesn't take off my products. I have had to touch up my blush but that's not too big of a deal for me.
Also as someone with tan, south asian skin, it doesn't leave a white cast or leave a gray undertone. Haven't noticed any flashback when taking pictures either.
The size is nice for on the go. Small enough to fit in my dinky crossbody bag, but a good amount of product for the price (about the size of my palm). I would definitely buy this again if it was on sale.
