It does a pretty good job removing makeup. Although, I do have to work the product longer to remove waterproof mascara. I also like to use this to exfoliate flake skin. I use tretinoin and I find that it's gentle enough to massage the balm on my skin without irritation. The balm gently slips under the peeling skin and removes it without further damaging my skin.
