I usually use oil cleanser for removing makeup. The reason I purchased this product was to avoid mess with oil. Oil gets drippy and can get everywhere. Since this is a balm and it comes with a nice platform for spatula, it was easy to use the balm without any mess.

This removes most dirts and makeup from my face. I used heimish cleansing foam for the 2nd wash and it works great together. Love them both and will continue to order more in the future.
