heimish Cosmetics: South Korea's Stylish New Cosmetics Brand
South Korea is always on the cutting edge of beauty brands and trends. I love finding new treasures for my reader and sharing the love. When I stumbled across this brand at the department store a few weeks ago I knew it was something I need to check out.
If you follow my Instagram then you saw me snap this pic above. Heimish is a cosmetics brand that just launched in Seoul (March 2016). They specialize in easy colors and products that you can incorporate into your daily life.Their products are also paraben-free. They are sold exclusively in department stores (more location details at the end of the post). Their price point is lower than most professional makeup lines but the quality can compare. So far I have been impressed.
I was sent these products and asked to review them. All opinions are honest and personal opinions and experiences. I'm always excited to try things in reality so my readers could see swatches, get some idea of the colors and also hear my thoughts on new products.
Check out my Youtube video for more color swatches. Below in the post you'll find a few extra details including prices and locations around Korea and online.
Dailism Eye Palette: Brisk Grey (also available in khaki, coral, blue, beige, pink)
The packing is really sturdy and well made. It is a cluck closure and includes a large mirror and double ended brush. It would be great for travel. The colors include a variety of matte, satin and sparkling finishes. To be honest, I was really worries about the 2 super glittery colors, but those are also the ones I am most drawn to! They look like they would glitter bomb your face. with careful application (and I suggest a damp brush) gently pat this on your lids and you can apply without fallout. Sweeping across your lids with a dry brush will result in a glitter bomb. You've been warned. The matte and pearl finishes blend easily. Overall, loved them and think they are a product worth purchasing again. These retail for 32,000 won. *Make all your eye colors long lasting and avoid creasing by adding a primer first (I used Mac Points Pot).
Blusher Palette: Stay Blossom (also available in coral, peachy and lavender tones) This one has a nice bright pink blush, tri-colored bronzer and highlighter. This is great is you want to learn how to contour with a forgiving product. The bronze blends nicely and is buildable for more drama. I have light to med-light skin tone and this looks natural. it;s a near matte bronzer as long as you keep the highlighter dust off it. After using the products I blow off any excess so it doesn't float around in the case. They look chalky in the picture but the colors are wonderful and they blend well with a fluffy brush. This palette retails for 30,000 won.
Mineral Rich Lipstick: Fine Daysoft nude pink tone (also available in varying tones of pinks, peaches and reds from nude to statement).
This lipstick goes on like butter and has the same finish as a Mac Luster finish. Just swipe on each lip and I'm set to go. My lips feel moisturized and not dry or cakey. The lipsticks contain a variety of oils including rose hip oil and Brazil nut oil so they are nourishing with a nice color payoff. I wear all my lippies with a primer (Mac makes a great one!), the a lip liner, then the lipstick. This keeps everything long lasting and in place. I talk a lot throughout the day so I need my lipstick to stay put. The colors are beautiful and my lips feel nice after wearing it. It has a nice faint vanilla scent. These retails for 18,000 won and I'm already looking forward to buying more.
All Clean Balm: Daily Cleansing Balm
This product was the one that sparked my interest the most. The packaging is beautiful and it feels very luxurious. It kept hearing about cleansing oils and how good they are for your skin but with traditional products you should use an oil, then wash again with a cleanser. The product is unique because you don't need to cleanser after using it. It has the consistency of a balm and you rub it on your dry skin. It turns into an oil, breaks down your makeup (even mascara) and doesn't sting your eyes. Then add some water and the oil transforms into a milky substance. Then splash it all away with water. No oily residue and no need to wash with another cleanser. Dry your face and moisturize. I love that this has donkey milk as one of its main ingredients as donkey milk is full of vitamins, minerals and anti-aging properties. It also includes coconut oil, shea butter lime, jasmine, grapefruit, tea tree and quite a few more. The scent is citrus and refreshing but not strong. This retails for 18,000 won (120mL).
Where can I purchase these:
1. They have pop up store locations in the Hyundai Department stores at Pangyo (4th floor) and Shinchon (B2). Exclusive locations (I'm guessing permanent locations) are at Lotte Mia, Lotte Guri, Lotte Jeonju and La Cosmetique in the Hongdae area.

3. If you live abroad and want to purchase them, they are being distributed through Style Korean. This website is trusted and ships quality Korean cosmetics and beauty brands world wide.
