Just like choosing the right skin care products for your skin type, it is really important to use the right kinds of tools to blend in makeup. Foundations can be applied in various ways and may be a little hard to apply at first, but after a bit of practice, you can make your skin look gorgeous every time. In today’s K.Beauty Story, I will be telling you four different ways to apply foundation.

puffs

Air puffs ensure smooth application, especially for foundation, makeup bases, BB creams, and even sunblocks. It is much better to spray a mist onto a puff to create a dewy, flawless and smooth effect. And the best part of using air puffs is that it takes very little time to finish your makeup!

brushes

Sponges can be found in different shapes; Oval Sponges, Wedges and Blender sponges. Oval sponges provide maximum coverage and do not let the foundation look cakey. Wedges are better for those hard/smaller areas and minimize the wastage of foundation. Blender sponges are the hottest makeup tools these days because it provides an airbrush like finish and are very easy to use. All of these sponges can be used wet or dry. A damp blending sponge is great for dry skin because it adds hydration and makes foundation spread easily and more evenly.

sponges

There are so many different kinds of makeup brushes in this world. Foundation brushes come in three main varieties, Flat foundation brush, Flat top brush and Buffing brush.

– Flat foundation brushes is a classic brush which has a rounded tip and thick shape. This brush can help you achieve a smooth and flawless finish. Makeup artists usually use this classic flat foundation brush, but beginners may find it a little tricky to use at first.

– Flat top brushes provide full coverage with their thin bristles. This brush works best for pores because you can pat and press the foundation into your skin. But it tends to be difficult to reach certain area around your face due to its flatness.

– Use a Buffing brush when you need to get your makeup done in a hurry. It will blend your foundation in a matter of seconds. It provides medium coverage and it works best for liquid and cream foundations.

hand

The most basic way to apply liquid or cream foundation is using your fingers. You can achieve results that have a natural finish with only fingers. Also, the best part is, it forces you to use a smaller amount of product!

Which one do you think is the most perfect way for you to apply foundation naturally? Each of these tools have its own pros and cons, so you can choose what to use depending on the situation.
