Comparison Review: April Skin Cushions

 Had a wonderful Christmas Holiday? It has passed so rapidly, and now we’re waiting for the New Year. And here is one more thing that you’ve all been eagerly waiting for, a review on April Skin’s favorite cushions! We finally prepared the comparison of April Skin’s three kinds of Magic Snow Cushions - White, Fixing Foundation and  2.0(Black). :) Are you excited just like me? Can’t Wait? Then let’s get started! 

 Please look at the picture above. Starting from the left is the Magic Snow Cushion White, Magic Snow Fixing Foundation and Magic Snow Cushion 2.0, which was launched most recently. Each of them has its own packaging color as the name implies – White, Pink and Black. Although all three packages are simple and charming, I prefer the most gorgeous and mattest black one, because I always go crazy for black! Of course, the metalic pink packaging of Fixing Foundation is also lovely.

 Now, let’s take a look at the inside. The items in the pictures above are the real possessions of our Style Korean Editors. So we kindly beg your pardon of untidy look as they have been loved so much everyday by our editors. :p 

 The White and 2.0 Black are sponge type like other usual cushions, and Fixing Foundation has mesh netting. We suppose almost everyone already knows that April Skin’s Cushions have amazing coverage. But there are definite differences among them.

In detail : 

 1. Magic Snow Cushion White contains more than 60% of water-based serum which means White is the
     most moist cushion. It enables to get natural make-up style and a glowy finish. White is the cushion for
     cold and dry season like Winter, however, if you want perfect coverage, this might not be the one you
     are looking for.

 2. Magic Snow Fixing Foundation contains sebum control powder, that helps control oiliness and sebum.
    So it is suitable for oily skin type and also is a perfect cushion for summer! But due to its silky finish,
    those who have blemishes and acne will not be satisfied with it.

 3. As I mentioned above, Magic Snow Cushion 2.0(Black) is released most recently. Containing 45% of
    water-based serum, it gives dewy finish even though it has the highest coverage level at the same time.
    2.0, the Black, is the most beloved one among Style Korean editors!

 These three items are all same shade #21(light beige). We applied them on the wrist using fingertips so that we can compare the shades. Starting from the left, they are White, Fixing, and 2.0. Easily we can find out that White has pink beige undertone whereas Fixing Foundation has yellow beige undertone. 2.0 has shade somewhat in-between them. We can see that the Fixing Foundation provides brightening effect and White gives the most natural look.

 All three of them come in 3 shades: #21 Light Beige, #22 Pink Beige, #23 Natural Beige, so you can just choose the shade that fits you the most.

 Also with April skin’s cushions, we couldn’t help testing the coverage level of each of them. Editor Anna wrote ‘STYLE KOREAN’ on the back of her hand using LABIOTTE's Lip Tint and covered it with each cushions. I was so excited to see if they could cover it because this LABIOTTE’s Lip Tint has really deep color!

 And this is the result : Perfect coverage is difficult as it is a ‘Lip Tint’, but you can see the super high coverage with them except for the White cushion. Especially, the coverage level of 2.0 is unbelievably amazing! So the winner is the Black! Hooray!
