Review: Huxley Brightening Routine

New release, new curation! It’s Huxley’s Essence; Brightly Ever After and Cream; Glow Awakening – just in time for summer when the sun has dulled our skin and we’re in need of that extra touch of radiance!

Before we start, let’s talk misconceptions! In Korea, the term whitening is often used to describe a variety of creams. And this immediately puts a lot of people on the defensive. Fret not, these aren’t bleaching products! It’s just the Konglish (Korean + English) terminology for brightening products whose main purpose is to balance uneven skin tones and infuse a subtle radiance to your complexion! Again, it’s not a bleaching agent!

The Unboxing:

The packaging for the brightening line is a little different from the other Huxley products. That is, unlike the matte, sophisticated finish we’ve all come to love, these particular products are held in gorgeous, glossy packages that are reminiscent of their function – that is, making our skin look positively radiant! #Glowing!

Both skincare products contain Huxley’s signature fragrance and ingredient, Prickly Pear Seed Oil, all to provide an intense anti-oxidizing and moisturizing effect. Beyond this, the following key ingredients were also included:

1. Niacinamide and Bisabolol to brighten and soothe

2. Odeetox to protect against environmental pollutants

The Reveal

After using a toner to set your skin, Huxley’s Essence can be applied using a spoid.

Tip: Use Huxley’s Toner Extract It for a better outcome!

The essence is a beautiful, milky texture that’s light weight on the skin and imparts a dewy radiance.

Finally is the Huxley Cream. It’s thick and incredibly moisturizing - perfect for those with normal to dry skin.

As you can see, unlike other brightening products out there, the effects of this cream is a lot more subtle.

Huxley’s latest release – the Brightening Line, is a great way to achieve an understated glow to your skin. Unlike other products its effect isn’t immediate and you don’t end up look like Casper. It may take a couple of days for you to notice a change but when you do, it’ll be worth it! ❤
