Let's begin with Celimax

Fairly new to the skincare scene, Celimax is quickly winning the hearts of skincare lovers in the recent years. With their newly launched Noni Energy line, the iconic green-and-white packaging holds one of the trendiest skincare ingredients in the market: Noni.

But what’s a Noni?!

Noni is actually closely related to the coffee family and is a tropical plant that is native to Southeast Asia and Australasia! This rich-in-antioxidant plant offers many benefits to our skin, such as Vitamins A and C, potassium, linoleic acid, and amino acids.

Linoleic acid is an essential building block of ceramides and helps reduce acne breakouts. The Noni plant is also known for being a rich source of phytonutrients, something produced by plants and are what keeps plants healthy. But how does that benefit us? You know, humans? Phytonutrients actually help boost antioxidants and can provide anti-inflammatory results, calming the skin from any irritations either from free radicals or external elements.

My Experience with Noni Energy

Of course my skin loved it! Being an oily-skin person, I stay away from any thick and oily products. But Celimax’s Noni Energy is anything but that. Each product in the Noni Energy set is packed with at least 55% Noni extract.

The Moisture Balancing Toner (150mL) is super hydrating and sets a great foundation for the following products in the routine. The toner contains Noni seed oil, but don’t worry—Noni seed oil is not thick or occlusive.

The Noni Energy Ampoule (30mL) helped revitalize my damaged skin barrier after nights of bad sleep and working long hours without hydrating my skin. The ampoule comes in a jelly-like texture but once it is on your skin, it quickly changes into a watery texture, allowing your skin to drink it up immediately.

My favorite product of this line has to be the Noni Energy Repair Cream (50mL), because it provides a high dosage of ceramides—which strengthens the moisture barrier and prevents any trans-epidermal water loss (aka TEWL). If you’re feeling fancy, you can actually replace the ampoule with the Noni Energy Ampoule Mask in your routine (like on a Friday night, when you want to pamper yourself).

The mask is drenched in the Noni Energy Ampoule (25mL of it to be exact). Setting this mask on your face helps restore elasticity due to the remedial nature of the Noni extract. I like to keep it on for 15 minutes, and then follow up with the Repair Cream. The results are outstanding: I notice how refined my pores appear and how bright my skin glowed after just two weeks of using this Noni Energy set.
