Toun28 is a certified vegan Korean brand that emphasizes on
being eco-friendly by reducing the use of plastic and instead use glass and
biodegradable paper packaging for their products to protect the environment.
After multiple trials, they are able to develop the world first paper
recycle-labelling paper package. They still uses a small amount of plastic for
the cap, but they're trying to be completely plastic free in the future. They
also allocates 90% their production budget on high quality raw ingredients and
10% for packaging. How awesome is that?
I have the chance to try three of their products that are
suitable for people who have sensitive or irritated skin. And I'm gonna share
my experience and initial thoughts after using their toner, serum and lotion
for a few days. I'm gonna separate my thoughts on these products into three
posts. So here goes.
Part 1
Toun28 ±pH
Balancing Toner*
• Notable Ingredients: Hibiscus Flower Water (certified
organic), Amino Acid, Salt, Arginine, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate.
The Hibiscus Flower went through a 48 hours extraction process
in temperature lower than 50°C to extract the natural anthocyanin and vit C
(antioxidants) it contains.
• My Experience: Toun28 pH Balancing Toner claims to soothe,
balance and moisturize the skin. This toner has a watery consistency, but has a
'body' to it that when I pat it in on my skin it feels deeply hydrating. The
kind of hydration you feel goes deep into your skin. I don't really notice any scent from this toner and it also
doesn't contain any artificial fragrance nor EOs. A huge plus for me bcs I've
been trying to avoid EOs in skincare (they can sensitize my skin).

Part 2
Toun28 Centella
asiatica+Peptide Serum*
• Notable Ingredients:
- Cocoa seed butter (certified organic),
Squalane, Betaine: helps retain moisture on the skin.
- Centella asiatica Extract,
Madecassoside: helps with cell repair, hydration and calming the skin.
- Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Copper Tripeptide-1: helps in collagen production and
keeping the skin firm and youthful.
• My Experience: This serum target skin dryness and redness and
also claim to helps in repairing and calming irritated, inflamed skin. It has a
lightweight, milky consistency that absorbs really fast into my skin and leave
some sort of a moisturizing barrier on my skin (from the cocoa butter, squalane
and betaine I suppose). Leaves a slightly tacky feeling, but goes away after I
apply a moisturizer. This serum doesn't contain any artificial fragrance nor
EOs, but I do detect a chemical scent that reminded me of crayons…
This serum contain many great ingredients, but I need to use
this longer to see if it really does something to my skin :)

Part 3
Toun28 Trouble
Care for Sensitive Skin*
• Notable Ingredients: 10% German Chamomile Oil (Blue Tansy), Centella asiatica
Extract, Niacinamide, Hydrogenated vegetable oil, Betaine, Squalane, Panthenol,
Allantoin
• My Experience: Trouble Care for Sensitive Skin has a
lightweight, lotion texture and doesn't have any noticeable scent. This product
claim to soothes skin trouble "helps relieve inflammation, calm
redness, and restore the skin’s moisture barrier."
This product absorbs Immediately and doesn't leave any
residue/tacky feeling/greasiness. In fact I find the need to add a heavier
cream or a facial oil because my face will feel dry and tight if I only used
this as a last step. For drier skin types, it's better to use this as an
emulsion step/right before moisturizer.
I've only been using this product for several days so this is
definitely not a full review on it. I can only share my experience for now.
Also, while I don't have a sensitive skin type, my skin does get red easily due
to some EOs/external factors, prone to breakouts, and currently having some
irritation on my cheeks due to the friction from wearing mask so I think
the products from Trouble Care for Sensitive Skin Kit came in a perfect time!
I'll update you guys on how I feel/the results I've noticed after using the
products longer! I hope you understand
