BHA+ Pore Zero Cleansing Foam
- Texture & Scent:
rich and mild lather with a strong scent of… cologne?
- Thoughts:
The first thing you notice when you open this product is the insanely obnoxious fragrance. The product itself looks like a typical foaming cleanser. It lathers into a thick and rich foam which makes the cleansing process quite enjoyable. A little bit of this product goes a long way. It definitely cleanses my skin well and doesn’t leave me feeling tight but I always feel a bit TOO clean. This cleanser hasn’t irritated my skin and I haven’t seen much change in my skin condition either (which could be a plus as it seemingly works just as well as my usual exfoliants?). The only other thing I dislike is the scent that just seems to linger forever. Overall, I think this product performs well but it just doesn’t need that extra strong fragrance.
BHA+ Pore Zero Toner
- Texture & Scent:
Clear and watery liquid with no obvious scent.
- Thoughts:
Ok so the concentration of willow BHA in this product 100% scared me.. It isn’t as soothing or moisturising as I typically prefer my toners to be but I guess it’s understandable as it is an exfoliant. This toner feels like dry water, IF YOU GET WHAT I MEAN. It’s like applying water on your face but then it just doesn’t feel like anything, it’s so weird. I like to go in after this with a hydrating toner. I’ve been applying 2 layers of this every other night and I must say it’s definitely helped with my sebum production. It’s also surprisingly gentle and hasn’t irritated my skin so YAY! Overall, this is not a bad exfoliating toner. It might be a bit intimidating for exfoliating newbies but I would definitely recommend this for more experienced friends with oily and acne prone skin.
BHA+ Pore Zero Serum
- Texture & Scent:
watery and slightly viscous serum with a moderate scent of herbal cologne xd
- Thoughts:
This serum probably has the second strongest fragrance in this line. It has a really nice light green colour from the chlorophyl and is easily spreadable. Despite the scent, this serum is actually quite pleasant to use. It spreads well and absorbs into the skin, leaving a slight tackiness that goes away quite fast. 3 drops of this is enough for my face. The fragrance in this product is definitely more tolerable compared to the cleanser. I haven’t really seen much change in my pore size but it has definitely helped with sebum production. Overall, this serum has some great ingredients and I would recommend it as a gentle exfoliating product. But for those of you that have sensitive skin, maybe read up on this.
BHA+ Dark Spot Zero Cream
- Texture & Scent:
very light and soft cream with a slight herbal scent.
- Thoughts:
This is probably my favourite product of the bunch. It has a super light consistency that makes it so easy to spread and apply. It doesn’t feel heavy at all and it leaves my skin feeling soft and supple with a slight dewy finish. The dark spots I have been treating have definitely lightened a little bit but I’m not sure if that’s due to this product or just the natural passing of time. I think i’ll need more time to confirm this effect. For a cream, this product is tiny… I don’t think I would purchase this to use on my entire face. I definitely prefer to use this as a spot treatment. Overall, this was definitely one of the better products in this line and I would recommend it for people with oily or acne-prone skin.
