1. What is PHA?

There are many different types of PHA, and this one is Gluconolactone extract.

It is a new generation of chemical exfoliate working as a humectant!

Glucono-delta-Lactone (GdL), a white crystalline powder, is a neutral cyclic

ester of gluconic acid. The acid is produced by an aerobic fermentation of a

carbohydrate source. After fermentation, it is purified and crystallized.

It creates a shield which attracts moisture to soak the dry, flaky skin and gently exfoliates the skin while you sleep.

6. What are the benefits of the cream?

#COSRX PHA cream works as a humectant, attracting moisture to soak the dry, flaky skin. This skin becomes the water shield overnight, protecting your skin with optimal pH level. In the next morning, when washing your face, this shield that is made up of the dead skin cells gently falls off — giving no irritation, uncovering softer, smoother skin with dewy glow complexion.

In addition, the subcutaneous cream, which is made of polymer, forms a moisturizing layer on the skin, so it does not irritate it compared to the liquid acids. The moisturizing layer slowly soaks and embraces the right skin care before it pulls into the skin.

7. How to apply COSRX PHA cream?

As the last step of your skincare routine, take ‘a small amount’ and apply ‘a thin layer’ evenly. Gently massage for better absorption. For maximum result, use COSRX Low pH PHA Barrier Mist before the PHA cream.

8. Which skin type does it work?

It’s suitable for all skin types, especially for dehydrated skin or combination skin.

9. Is it OK to use other acids?

Many COSRX customers use 3% of PHA so they will not irritated their skin even when they mixed it with acids. If you using products that has less than 1% AHA/ BHA, you can mixed it with retinol. However, for BHA Liquid and AHA7 please use it separately.
