Hello my
dears!
Have you guys been up to
anything interesting lately?
I'll be going out shopping
next week, so I'll be on the look out for some gifts to include in my
extremely late blog anniversary giveaway~ Look out for the post
soon!
My
Grandma from Singapore just came over for a visit, and we've been watching "The
Empress of China". It is a good drama, but omg. I did not realise it was over 80
episodes long..I don't think I can finish this! Fan Bing Bing is honestly
#goals
I think she and Angelababy
are my favourite chinese/HK models/actresses. They are so
gorgeous!!
Today I'll be sharing with
you a haul and a mini review of items I got from StyleKorean.com
Do you guys remember HonestSkin.com?
HonestSkin has now been renamed and revamped to StyleKorean.com
The prices are still pretty
reasonable (but shipping is still a little costly...) & they carry many
korean cosmetic and skincare brands as well as some food items.
I'm excited to get this
review & haul started! So continue scrolling to see~
BRTC : Jasmine Water BB
Cream
BB Cream for all Skin Types, especially for
young and/or dehydrated skin. Containing Jasmine hydrosol and Blue Phyto Complex
with anti-inflammatory and hydrating properties the BB cream rehydrates and
protects dry, sensitive skin from further damage, while creating a soft and
bright complexion.
Directions : Spread BB Cream evenly on your
face after applying cream.
My Review : I haven't had a very good
experience with BB creams before - they usually end up making my skin look
grey(?!) or too white or super dry like the Sahara dessert.
However! I think I have finally found a BB Cream that suits and works
well on my skin
This BB cream has SPF 30 and claims to have
brightening, moisturising & soothing effects - suited for dry and sensitive
skin.
It only comes in one shade with slight pink
undertones - which is supposedly a "universal" beige tone, suited to most skin
tones.
I quite like this BB cream as it is lightweight
and moisturising. As well as this, the colour suits my skin tone well and it has
a light coverage - I find that it is perfect for me.
Innisfree : No Sebum
Mineral Pact
A sebum absorbing oil control powder pact for fresh and soft
skin.
Directions : In the last stage of your daily skincare or makeup
routine, use the powder puff to gently apply onto entire face or sebum
concentrated areas.
My Review : Love. This is literally my favourite oil controlling
powder in compact form. Check
out my full review here! I guess in a way this pact is a little
better that the powder as it is less messy to use & it even
has an in built mirror - perfect for when you need to touch up your makeup.
Holika Holika : Pig
Nose Clear Black Head 3 Step Kit
3 Step Kit to Clear Black Heads [Link]
This is a 3 step kit perfect for pore control. The first step opens your
pores which allow for removing blackheads easily. The second step removes
blackheads. The third step minimises pores.
Directions : After cleansing, place Step 1 on nose for 15-20
minutes. Remove it slowly and wipe off any blackheads or impurities from pores.
Wet nose with water and place Step 2 on nose. After 10-15 minutes slowly remove
from the edges. Finally apply Step 3 on nose. Remove after 10-15 minutes and
gently tap it for better absorption.
My Review : Step one has a nice fresh scent to it. I'm not quite
sure what it smells like (maybe soap?) but it's not to strong. I think it had a
slightly cooling effect to it and there is alot of product! So don't forget to
use it all! This step is to open up your pores.
The second step is where you
wet your nose and apply the strip. As the 15 minutes passes, the strip
dries/hardens up and you have to peel it off from the edges. Of course it hurts
a little when you pull it off, but the results are amazing! The third step also
has an initial cooling effect. The strip is a little slimy - so be careful when
putting it on. It left my nose feeling very smooth and soft.
I found the kit
to be ok-ok. I've read other reviews of it in the past, and when other people
use it, you can really see black heads and white heads on the "step 2" when
removed from your skin. In my case, I have these stubborn black heads on the
side of my nose, that refuse to be removed - no matter what type of black-head
removal mask I use! Overall, the mask managed to get most of my black heads out,
but I'm still yet to find a mask that will rid me of my stubborn side
blackheads.
