heimish is a new cosmetics brand that was launched not too long ago in March 2016. Rather than opulence and luxury it focuses on colors and products that can be incorporated into your everyday lives. In fact their tag line is – finding the special in the ordinary <3

Most recently heimish released their new line of cushion pacts into a market already saturated with similar products; which is why, today, I aim to review their ARTLESS PERFECT CUSHION SPF50+/PA+++ (21 LIGHT BEIGE) and determine how it fares.

The Unboxing

The packaging for heimish’s cushion pact was rather pretty in its simplicity with clean solid colors and limited text (which also included English!) The box consisted of the product and a refill which was a pleasant surprise given that I had not expected one  <3

The reveal

As you can see I have an uneven skin tone and appear a little jaundiced so coverage is very important to me. Not to mention, I chronically suffer from dry skin which will flake at times so moisturizing is a key property I always look for.

At first I rubbed the product onto my skin which left it looking a little streaky so I started to pat it in gently using the provided applicator. Note, be sure to use a round circular motion, I’ve found that this helps distribute and blend the foundation better.

PROS:

​- The minute I peeled back the protective layer the scent hit me and I loved it! It was so fresh and light that I would even consider buying it as a perfume. What’s even better is that every time I moved I was hit by a gentle waft of this scent and it immediately put me in a better mood.

- Using the cushion pact did reduce the unevenness of my skin tone.

- It feels light and dewy which is essential for those hot, sweltering days.

- The product states that it contains UV protection, brightening and anti-wrinkle properties. All things you must have to beat those summer months.

CONS:

- You have to apply several layers, blend and repeat the process multiple times to get the coverage that you desire. 

- The product does rub off a little. It’s not too bad but I did get some on my desk.

Overall, I am quite happy with the cushion pact (that scent, that scent!) and I would recommend it to those who are looking for an easy, simple product to use on an everyday basis.
